Very cute. (And no offense to Sora, but I don't like SoKai. O.e Probably just seen too much of it XD)
then, i think this couple is a bit too overrated, when compared to all the other nice couples you have in kh, like most people only see sokai and therefore neglect sora/namine for instance, when i actually think they are just as much canon as sokai since they have such a tragic yet sweet story in the series
and then my sokai pics get so many favs, even the old ones which are so not good, and that makes me feel like rather the couple is favourited then the actual skills of the artist and i dont like it D; like if people make sokai pics, it'll always have lots of likes no matter the skills
and when you do a pic of another couple which is just as good as the other picture but is sora/xion for instance there are only a few people who like it compared to the sokai ones i do D;
and that's why i never really feel proud of my sokai works since they are just liked because of the couple, not because of the effort i put into each piece and therefore i stopped doing it
i do like making sokai pics though for people who truly like the couple because of how they interact with each other, and not just because SE made them official ( because sometimes, that's all people care about)
so yeah, that's mainly why i dont enjoy supporting them in the fandom, while in the series every couple gets their chance more or less, and it's more enjoyable for me like that
And I totally agree with you! People shouldn't just favorite something cuz it's canon, instead of liking it for the artist's talent.
I especially hate when people pressure writers/artists to do their artwork on a canon pairing instead of what they like. It's like people think it's vital that a canon pairing is shipped! Sure, I like VanKai, for example, but I'm not gonna yell at somebody to start doing stuff for the couple, like a lot of people do! (And plus KH isn't all about pairings anyways, you know?
Everybody has their own favorites and their own opinions. And some people don't like that... well tough!
