Ever since the second panel, I was leaning out of my seat like "VanKai!!!" XD
I loved this one so much! It showed that Vanitas does have that little light inside of him that's begging him to be a good guy.
(Plus I think Kairi had a little something to do with it... *cough* they're still holding hands! *cough*)
You guys realize this was how Vani and Namine met, pretty much, rite?

It's so sweet how he gives in and takes her to see Namine, even though Kairi didn't even ask for that. :3
I really, really like the natural, gradual character development you have for Van in this story. If a reader first came into it right here or a little later, they'd think he was OOC; but when reading the whole story from the beginning, one can see that the unhurried way you depicted his growth in this story is so well done. I'm pretty sure VanKai wouldn't work in canon, but I can definitely see it working in this universe you've made.
Vanitas is still recognizable from how he is in canon, yet he has softened a great deal, and it's lovely to watch. Van really does start out as a horrible person at the beginning of this series, but by now he's become a very likeable character who's easy to sympathize with, and the transformation was done realistically in my opinion (as far as emotions and stuff go), without losing the main characteristics that make Vanitas who he is.
Great job, keep up the good work!
